Cabinet cancels Galant appointment

The cabinet officially cancelled General Yoav Galant's appointment as IDF chief of staff, and Defense Minister Ehud Barak told the ministers he recommends that Maj.-Gen. Benny Gantz succeed Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, pending the Turkel Committee's approval. (Attila Somfalvi)
