Barak: Timing of upheaval over Galant land affair is not random

Defense Minister Ehud Barak criticized Minister of Improvement of Government Services Michael Eitan for speaking out against Major General Yoav Galant. "In a reality where a member of the government says that a general serving in the IDF is a member of the mafia, it's inappropriate," he said during a government meeting. "We must restrain ourselves."

Addressed the cancellation of Galant's appointment as IDF chief of staff, Barak said: "Anyone who thinks that the delay of the land affair upheaval until recent weeks is random and unrelated doesn't know where he is living." (Attila Somfalvi)
