Discussion of IDF chief of staff appointment delayed

Defense Minister Ehud Barak will not speak on Monday before the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee's sub-committee that is in charge of appointing the next IDF chief of staff, as originally planned. Barak's office stated that he will instead meet with the sub-committee next Tuesday, after his return from the US.

It was reported on Sunday night that Major General Yoav Galant will not speak before the sub-committee either on Monday. His appearance before the sub-committee was delayed until the completion of the court discussion of his cancelled IDF chief appointment. (Attila Somfalvi)
