Comverse lays off 200 Israeli workers

The international software developer Comverse Technologies has began proceedings to lay off 200 employees, to be completed by the end of the week, Ynet has learned.

The company will fire 800 employees in Israel and in other countries over the course of 2011, because of cuts that resulted from structural changes taking place within the corporation. Refusing to comment, the company's management stated that it is announcing the news directly to the workers. (Tani Goldstein)
