The Jerusalem Municipal Planning and Construction Committee approved for deposit the plan to build 13 housing units for Jews in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in east Jerusalem.
This is yet another step to approve the construction of these housing units. The plan will now have to get final approval from the Ministry of Interior's District Planning and Construction Committee. Elisha Peleg, a Likud Party Jerusalem City Council member told Ynet: "I think anyone who claims it's just that Jews shouldn't build in east Jerusalem – that's racism and illegal discrimination."
