Galant claims media hysteria over affair 'orchestrated well'

Major-General Yoav Galant retracted his petition to the High Court of Justice on Monday against the government and the Attorney General regarding the cancellation of his candidacy as IDF chief of staff. Galant explained to the court that "due to fundamental and severe flaws made throughout the process regarding his affairs he doesn't wish to prolong the process."

However Galant did mention he has not changed his stance on the matter and wrote: "What changed the picture was the well orchestrated media hysteria led by interested parties." (Aviad Glickman)
