Former US VP: Pollard sentence excessive

Former US Vice President Dan Quayle sent a letter to US president Barak Obama calling him to release convicted spy Jonathan Pollard from prison.

"Pollard's sentence was excessive for the crimes he committed," Quayle wrote. This is the most senior government official to publicly express himself in favor of the release of pollard. (Roni Sofer)
