Defense budget gets urgent addition of $190 million

The Knesset's Finance Committee approved an urgent request by the defense establishment for a budget increment of NIS 700 million (about $190 million).

The committee said additional requests for more funds were possible due to a change in the defense establishment's evaluation of the situation in light of the events in Egypt. (Zvi Lavi)
