Ashkenazi: IDF ready to respond to any scenario

Outgoing IDF Chief of Staff Major General Gabi Ashkenazi told senior Northern Command officers that they "must be ready for any scenario."

"The north is entrusted in expert and professional hands," he said during a farewell ceremony. "The army has undergone all necessary procedures to respond." Northern Command Chief Major General Gadi Eizenkot said during the ceremony: "We are not tempted to get drunk on the calm, but instead we are getting ready while enforcing the deterrence."
