France slams Jewish construction in Sheikh Jarrah
France condemned construction plans for two Jewish residential buildings in the Arab neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah in east Jerusalem, which were approved Monday. "The plans violate international law," said French Foreign Ministry spokesman Bernard Valero. "The settlements must end, in the West Bank as well as east Jerusalem."
Valero also condemned the rocket fire at Israel Tuesday, saying that "this is not the way to encourage the trust needed for the renewal of negotiations". Four rockets were fired at Israel from Gaza Tuesday, causing no injuries. (AFP)
