Iranian citizens were convicted of cooperating with the Born to Freedom Foundation which was set up to offer rewards for information about missing Israel Air Force navigator Ron Arad. They were sent to jail for periods of between nine months to six years.
Shiraz's attorney general said similar cases are still trialed in court, but refused to give information as to the identity of the accused. He added that the foundation "recruits spies" for Israel. (Dudi Cohen)
