Turkey to debate chemical castration

Legislators from Turkey's ruling party are proposing chemical castration for sex offenders.

The government-backed bill submitted to parliament Wednesday would require the use of testosterone-supressing chemicals on persistent sex offenders, and make the procedure a condition for probation for some first-time offenders. The proposed bill was made available to the AP on Thursday. (AP)
