A small plane with 10 passengers and two crew on board crashed in heavy fog on the runway at Cork Airport in southern Ireland on Thursday, the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) said.
Local media said there were reports that eight people had been killed in the crash but police and an airport spokeswoman could not yet confirm if there were any fatalities. The IAA said metroliner SW4, which was en route from Belfast in Northern Ireland, had crashed after making several attempts at landing. (Reuters)
