Netanyahu: Gantz right person to lead IDF

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the Turkel Committee's decision to approve the appointment of Major General Benny Gantz as IDF chief of staff.

"Major General Gantz is an excellent commander, and he will make an excellent chief of staff," Netanyahu said in a statement. "In these sensitive times, a leadership is needed to stabilize the IDF senior staff. I am certain that Gantz is the right person to lead the IDF during a time full of challenges and changes."
