The Interior Ministry said that it has withdrawn a decision to deport Thomas Schmidt, a German citizen and the partner of Nir Katz, who was killed in the gay youth center shooting last year. Schmidt will receive a visa until there is a final decision on his case.
Earlier this week, the Interior Ministry told Schmidt, who has been staying in Israel for the past six years, that he must return to Germany by the end of the month. Katz's family fought to reverse the decision. (Aviel Magnezi)
