Histadrut gathers to discuss rising commodity prices

Histadrut leaders gathered in Tel Aviv on Saturday to discuss whether to continue the trade union's battle for higher minimum wages and against rising commodity prices. The meeting was held in light of the economic relief measures recently announced by the Finance Ministry, which fulfilled some of the union's demands.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz stated on Thursday that minimum monthly wages are to be raised by NIS 450, among other steps that aim to stop prices from rising further. (Tani Goldstein)
