Egyptian information minister resigns

Egyptian Minister of Information Anas el-Fekkai submitted his resignation to the government, which accepted it, Egyptian public television reported.

The report did not specify the reasons for the resignation. Earlier, the official MENA news agency had reported that Fekkai and former Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif had been forbidden to leave the country on decsion of the Attorney General. (AFP)
