Obama welcomes commitments from Egypt's army
President Barack Obama is welcoming the Egyptian military's commitment to a democratic civilian transition and to the country's international obligations, most notably its peace treaty with Israel.
The White House says Obama discussed the situation in Egypt during calls to British Prime Minister David Cameron, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and King Abdullah of Jordan, who's facing protests in his own country. (AP)
