MK Eitan: Galant must be kept away from future public positions

During a government meeting Minister Michael Eitan said that Major-General Yoav Galant must be kept away from all public services in the future. Eitan said this before the vote regarding th appointment of Major-General Benny Gantz as IDF chief of staff.

Eitan addressed the construction offenses ascribed to Gantz: "The difference between that and what happened with Galant is like the difference between a one time offense for which you receive a 'yellow penalty card' and a serial and corrupt behavior that calls for your removal from any public position. Galant received a yellow card and another yellow card and an red card and another red card but persisted." (Ronen Medzini)
