Psychiatrist indicted for aiding parents kidnap daughter

Charges were filed with the Tel Aviv District Court against a 40-year-old psychiatrist who is employed by a public Jerusalem-based hospital, for aiding a couple in an attempt to kidnap their 21-year-old daughter and remove her from Israel.

According to the charge sheet, the psychiatrists tried to retrain the young woman by injecting her with narcotics, while she was forcibly held in her father's car. (Naama Cohen-Friedman)
