Livni: West Bank remains calm in spite of Erekat resignation

At the Presidents Conference Sunday Opposition Leader Tzipi Livni addressed the resignation of Chief Palestinian Negotiator Saeb Erekat: "He was accused of treason against the Palestinian people, but even after the leaks, the Egyptian protests and al-Jazeera, the West bank remains calm. Many thought extremists would take advantage of the situation, but the news is actually positive."
In response to a question about her intention to implement the two state solution and give back territories, Livni added that "after what al-Jazeera published, I'm sure you saw that I can be tough in negotiations." (Ronen Medzini)
