Hamas official urges Egypt to deploy forces in Sinai
Hamas official Mahmoud al-Zahar called on Egypt to open the peace treaty with Israel and insert Egyptian army forces into Sinai.
Al-Zahar said that the Sinani Peninsula is a liberated Egyptian front and noted there was no reason for Egyptian forces not to be present. In an interview with Al Sharq Al Awsat he also called on Egypt to review the natural gas trade with Israel. (Elior Levy)
