Bill: Student benefits for soldiers, national service volunteers

Knesset Members from the Likud, Kadima and Yisrael Beiteinu parties presented the Knesset with a bill granting benefits to students who served in the IDF or completed national service. According to the proposed bill, students who served will receive a tuition grant of NIS 2,860 ($780).
MK Ahmad Tibi (United Arab List-Ta'al said in response that the bill was "part of Yisrael Beiteinu's ongoing racist legislation against Israeli Arabs." (Roni Sofer)
