Ahmadinejad: Enemies who organized protests have failed

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday that the "enemies" who had orchestrated anti-government protests in Tehran failed to achieve their goals.
"It is clear that the Iranian nation has enemies because it is a country that wants to shine... and change relationships in the world," Ahmadinejad said in a live televised interview. "Sure, there is a lot of animosity, even against the government. But they will fail to achieve their goals," he said in response to a question about the events the day before. (AFP)
