A spokesman for the Jordanian foreign ministry has remarked that comments made by the new justice minister, Hussein Mjali, about the release of a soldier who killed seven Israeli schoolgirls, do not reflect the official views of the government.
The spokesman stressed that Mjali had been airing his own personal views as part of the freedom of speech granted to all Jordanian citizens. (Roee Nahmias)
