Elbaradei urges civilian input in Egypt transition

Opposition figure Mohamed Elbaradei on Thursday called on Egypt's new military rulers to allow civilians to share power in the transitional period to prevent any return of the old regime.
The Nobel laureate urged the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces "to form a temporary presidential council that would include civilian figures ... to undertake presidential duties during the transitional period. (AFP)
