Republicans, Democrats ask Obama to veto any anti-Israeli proposal

Republican and Democratic leaders of the US House of Representatives published a statement expressing their opposition to the approval of any UN Security Council decision that goes against Israel.

The joint announcement, made by Republican Majority Leader Eric Cantor Democratic Minority Whip Steny Hoyer, called US President Barack Obama to veto any Palestinian proposal to condemn Israel for settlement construction that is brought before the council. (Yitzhak Benhorin)
