5 dead amid ongoing protests in Yemen

Three more casualties were added to the two protesters who were shot yesterday by the police in Yemen's main southern city of Aden, medics said, while street unrest in the capital Sanaa against President Ali Abdullah Saleh flared for a fourth straight day.

In the capital Sanaa, at least 19 protesters were hurt amid clashes between students demanding the ouster of President Ali Abdullah Saleh and supporters of his ruling General People's Congress. (AFP)
