Iran: Protestors clash with security forces in Mahabad

Opposition websites reported that clashes between protestors and security forces have broken out in the northwestern Iranian city Mahabad. Demonstrators at the city's center were reportedly throwing stones.
Meanwhile, eye witnesses told BBC's Persian channel that shots were heard in northern Tehran. According to unofficial reports, thousands of protestors gathered in the area, clashing with the security forces and condemning the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. (Dudi Cohen)
