PM: Uzi Arad asked to end term as national security advisor

The Prime Minister's Office officially announced that Uzi Arad has requested to conclude his role as head of the National Security Council. Arad had previously asked to serve as Israel's ambassador in London, however his appointment was blocked by Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.
"Dr. Uzi Arad requested to be relieved at the end of the second year to his term," the statement read. "In light of his skills, I offered to send him for an overseas capacity and the issue is being reviewed." (Attila Somfalvi)
