Tunisia asks Saudi Arabia: Is Ben Ali dead?

Tunisia's government has asked Saudi Arabia whether exiled former president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali is dead.

Ben Ali fled to Saudi Arabia on January 14 - ending his 23 years in power in the face of massive popular uprising that toppled his regime.There have been rumors in recent days suggesting that the former leader was ill or had even possibly died in exile. (AP)
