A moderate 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck northwestern Argentina on Tuesday about 43 miles (69 km) southeast of San Miguel de Tucuman, the US Geological Survey reported.
The quake occurred at 3:58 am local time (0658 GMT) at a depth of 8 miles (13 km). There were no immediate reports of damage. (Reuters)
