State Prosecutor: Extradite US citizen involved in car accident in 1998

The International Affairs Department at the State Prosecutor's Office requested the Jerusalem District Court extradite to the United States Lawrence Seth Wayne convicted of killing, driving under the influence and hit-and-run.

Police say in February of 1998, Wayne, a twice-convicted drunken driver, slammed into a man while driving under the influence and later fled the scene. Wayne was caught and convicted, but lost the appeal and was sentenced to 19 years. But managed to fled the country in June of 2000 and stayed lived in Israel until his arrest this week.
