Clinton condemns violence in Libya

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Monday strongly condemned violence in Libya and called on the Libyan government to respect the rights of its people.

"We join the international community in strongly condemning the violence in Libya," she said in a statement. "Now is the time to stop this unacceptable bloodshed." (AP)
