Hamas member in charge of the Shalit portfolio Osama al-Mezini declared Tuesday that his organization was expecting a breakthrough in efforts to promote the deal.
"The Egyptian regime has ceased its mediation in the negotiations over a year ago when it transferred the reins to Germany," said al-Mezini who also noted that Israel has been somewhat responsive to carrying out the Shalit deal since the fall of the Mubarak regime in Egypt. (Elior Levy)
