The Finance Ministry announced that it would file a proposal in the coming days for "social aid" to people who suffered property damage during the Carmel fire. Aid will be offered to those who were not insured or as an addition to insufficient insurance.
The ministry's senior vice accountant-general, Oshik Ben Atar, said the proposal would be filed with the government in the coming days. He said the sum amounted to around NIS 100 million ($27.5 million) altogether. (Zvi Lavi)
