Peres chides Europe for ignoring Iran

President Shimon Peres criticized European countries for ignoring the Iranian threat, saying they were "sleeping".
"One day you will wake up with nuclear warheads aimed at Madrid," he said at a press conference in Spain with 400 journalists and politicians. Peres also referred to the Iranian ships that crossed through Suez Canal Tuesday, saying that "the ships are a provocation and not a threat. Two ships will not change the sea and this is not the central issue. They must be allowed to pass." (Ronen Medzini and Attila Somfalvi)
