Ayalon: Each diplomat must visit Judea, Samaria heritage sites
None
Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon said that anyone appointed to an ambassador role in the Foreign Ministry and anyone training to be a diplomat will be required to visit the Cave of Patriarchs in Hebron and other places identified as Jewish heritage sites in Judea and Samaria.
Ayalon noted during a speech at the Knesset that the ambassadors and trainees will be guided on the tours by settlers from Kiryat Arba, among others. He claimed that the measure aims to "prevent apologetic diplomacy and to clarify that we are present in Judea and Samaria as per our right." (Roni Sofer)
