Gov't committee advises not to limit senior executive salaries
None
The committee established by the government to examine the salaries of senior executives working at publicly traded companies has advised not to intervene or limit the managers' earnings.
The committee, headed by Justice Minister Yaakov Ne'eman, suggested instead to increase the involvement of the boards of directors in the decisions on how much the executive should get paid. It also suggested involving the shareholders in some unusual cases. The committee was established in response to a law proposal that called for the restriction of executives' wages. (Tani Goldstein)
