State official fears natural gas shortage

National Infrastructure Ministry director Shaul Zemach expressed concern over a shortage of natural gas following disruptions in gas supply from Egypt. Zemach noted that Israel was consuming a double amount of gas from an Israeli reservoir near Ashkelon which could be depleted quickly. "The state will take all measures to avoid compromising the gas supply," he said. (Yael Darel)
