Britain says odds are stacking against Gaddafi

British Foreign Secretary William Hague on Thursday urged the rest of the world to raise pressure on Muammar Gaddafi as the Libyan leader's grip on power appeared to be slipping.
"It has to be said that the odds are stacking heavily against him and I think it will be important for all of us internationally over the coming days to increase the pressure on a regime which by all accounts is now committing serious offences," Hague told BBC Radio 4. "We will be looking for ways to hold to account people who are responsible for these things." (Reuters)
