The UN Security Council plans to vote on Saturday on a draft resolution that would slap sanctions on Libya's leaders and refer the recent violence to the International Criminal Court, diplomats said.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the council diplomats said China, a veto-wielding permanent member of the 15-nation body, was still awaiting instructions from Beijing on how to vote. They added that the vote could come at around 5:30 pm EST (2230 GMT) or later. (Reuters)
