Syrian defense minister: Israel surprised, concerned over Iranian ships
Syrian Defense Minister Ali Habib Mahmoud said that the presence of Iranian ships in the Mediterranean for the first time in 32 years surprised Israel is causing it great concern. According to the minister "Syria sees no importance in this concern".
In a meeting held between Syrian army chiefs and the commander of the Iranian navy, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari the two sides discussed joint cooperation between the countries' armies.
