Diplomat: Syria OKs April 1 nuke agency visit

A senior diplomat says Syria has agreed to an April 1 date for a visit by UN inspectors to a site being probed for clues about the country's atomic activities. 

Damascus already agreed last month to allow inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency to visit the site, an acid purification plant. Purified uranium ore is a byproduct of the plant, and the IAEA is trying to establish whether traces of uranium at another site come from the plant, as Syria asserts. (AP)
