IDF to close Karni crossing into Gaza Strip

Southern Command chief Major-General Tal Russo has decided to move up the closing of the Karni crossing in the north of the Gaza Strip as result of the tense security situation.

Russo ordered a new crossing to be established to transfer goods from Israel into Gaza. An IDF spokesperson said that "the volume of goods that is transferred to the strip is not expected to change as result of the measure." (Yoav Zitun)
