Hundreds gather for Baghdad anti-government demo
Hundreds of people are gathering in downtown Baghdad for an anti-government demonstration despite a vehicle ban that has forced many to walk for hours to the heart of the capital.
About 500 demonstrators converged on Baghdad's Liberation Square on Friday morning to demand improved security, pay increases and better government services. Iraqi security forces imposed a vehicle ban late Thursday in the capital so many of the protesters were forced to walk for miles. (Reuters)
