Mexico City records 700 gay weddings in 1st year

Seven hundred gay and lesbian couples have married in Mexico City since the capital enacted the first law in Latin America explicitly allowing same-sex marriages a year ago.

 

The city government says there have been 367 marriages between men and 333 between women since March 4, 2010. (AP)
