National Infrastructure Minister Uzi Landau commented on the shortage in natural gas supply following a malfunction at the Yam Tatis natural gas reservoir, and stressed that Israel's power supply will not be affected.
"Israel is prepared and ready for any scenario of a shortage in natural gas," said Landau, who is currently visiting the United States, and called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to hold an urgent meeting to approve the construction of a dual-fuel power plant in the city of Ashkelon.
