The government has approved the appointment of Ron Prosor as Israel's next ambassador to the United Nations. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Prosor "was an excellent ambassador in Britain, and his selection as the UN ambassador is a very important decision at this time."
The ministers also approved the appointments of Alon Ushpiz as the Israeli envoy in India, Dan Ashbel as the ambassador to Finland, and Haim Shaham as consul-general in Miami. (Ronen Medzini)
