PM may pull out of Knesset hearing on Carmel fire
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is reconsidering whether to attend a hearing at the Knesset's State Control Committee on Monday, which will address the state of the national fire extinguishing apparatus prior to the Carmel wildfire.
Netanyahu expressed his willingness to attend the hearing, but later the Prime Minister's Office stated he was reconsidering due to fears that his presence would lead to a confrontation with representatives of the bereaved families, as was the case during the 30-day memorial service. (Roni Sofer)
